Arden Gardeners and Adopt a Tub, Arden estate and Hoxton Steet, London N1

Two planting projects for PEER have repurposed planters: first some disused circular brick-built beds along one boundary of Hackney Council’s Arden Estate, secondly the old enamel baths which were being stripped out when refurbishing the old bathrooms.

PEER fundraised for the projects and received awards from Our Space and Kew Gardens Grow Wild.

Both projects aimed to bring the community together in planting, to make these forgotten corners more beautiful and to hand on horticultural knowledge which would provide a longevity of care.
